About Court St. Candle Co.

Court St. Candle Co. spiraled out of a hobby. I enjoyed making candles for friends and family and decided to start selling them. My right-hand man, and partner, and I have spent endless hours trying to perfect ingredients and recipes. There is a lot of trial and error until we find scents that we fall in love with. We also have some help from an opinionated nine-year old apprentice that signs off on all our scents and assists us with stamping and stickering.

When my great-grandfather emigrated from Ireland, he purchased a home on Court St. in West Utica where four generations of my family lived and where I spent my early years. Court St. is quintessentially Utica, and we love Utica; our gritty, beautiful, little city in Upstate New York. So, we thought the name suited our little company.

Our love of candle making and creating something that is natural and completely sourced from the US makes us proud to make them and sell them to our customers and our hope is that you guys are just as happy to own them.
